Who is responsible
PurlPair is published by YueCheng, the controller of personal information received through support. For support and privacy requests, email yuecheng274@gmail.com.
This policy covers PurlPair 1.0 for iPhone and these support and privacy pages.
Inside the app
PurlPair stores project names, knitting rules, notes, selected pieces, row progress and your language preference in local app storage. Its code does not send these records, identifiers, usage events, location or diagnostics to the publisher.
There is no PurlPair account, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK or automatic project sync. Core features work without an internet connection. The app requests no camera, microphone, contacts, photo library or location permission. File selection reads only the file you choose in the iOS system picker.
Backups, sharing and deletion
The active library stays on your device until you change it, replace it by restoring a backup, or delete the app. Restoring retains the immediately preceding library locally as a safety copy until the next restore or app deletion. Deleting one project removes it from the active library, but not from earlier exports, device backups or that safety copy.
Exports include plans, notes and progress. PurlPair does not encrypt exported files. You choose the destination in the system share or Files sheet, and that service handles the copy under its own terms. iOS device backups may include app data according to your Apple settings.
To remove all app-local records, delete the app rather than offload it. Delete exported copies and manage device backups separately where you saved them. The publisher cannot remotely view or delete your local projects.
When you email support
Email is optional. If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. YueCheng and the email service, Google Gmail, handle that information to respond and troubleshoot. Send only the information needed; a full backup is not normally necessary.
We use support messages only to answer requests, resolve issues and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell them or use them for advertising. We retain them while needed for those purposes, then delete them; provider backups and legally required records may remain according to the provider’s policy and applicable law.
Where EEA or UK data-protection rules apply, support needed to provide a purchased app is based on performance of the contract. Other inquiries and service security rely on our legitimate interests in answering users and maintaining the service. Legally required retention is based on the relevant legal obligation.
When you visit this website
These static pages are hosted by Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect the website, Cloudflare receives technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, request time and browser metadata.
We add no analytics, tracking scripts, remote fonts, cookies or contact forms to these pages. Cloudflare may process technical information for delivery, security and abuse prevention under its privacy policy. Using the app’s counter does not itself load the website.
Hosting and email services may process information in countries where they operate. Their privacy policies describe their locations, retention and available transfer protections. We do not run a separate database of website visitors.
Apple and services you choose
Apple separately handles App Store purchases and may process diagnostics or device-backup information according to your settings and its privacy policy. PurlPair does not receive your payment-card details. External links and the services you select for sharing have their own privacy practices.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can use core features without emailing us or visiting this website. Manage your local data as described above. For information you send to support, contact yuecheng274@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion, or exercise other rights available under applicable law, including restriction, objection and portability where they apply.
We may ask for enough information to verify a request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. If processing ever relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our data handling changes and update the date above. Material changes will be explained in the app or on this website, and any consent required by law will be requested.
